Volunteering with the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation Swiss Post employees lend a hand

Imagine setting aside your normal work for a day, rolling up your sleeves and lending a hand with maintenance work on hiking trails. That’s exactly what Swiss Post employees are doing by volunteering. Employees have the opportunity to help out for a day with maintenance work on hiking trails.

Swiss Post, the main partner of the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation, is offering work assignments together with the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation umbrella organization and selected cantonal hiking trail organizations to employees who want to do something practical to improve Swiss hiking trails. This work enables employees to make a valuable contribution to preserving a safe and well-maintained network of hiking trails.

Range and location of activities and professional support

Volunteers carry out simple maintenance work on hiking trails in non-hazardous areas (e.g. restoring steps and bridges, replacing drains, laying tracks with gravel). During the entire operation, the volunteers are accompanied and supported by qualified individuals from a cantonal hiking trail organization. Full explanations and instructions are provided for the jobs.
